1. Introduction

Welcome to LazyLogger (“we,” “our,” or “us”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Our Privacy Commitment: LazyLogger is built around self-hosting and user control. In the self-hosted setup, your messages and notes stay within your own infrastructure and your own Obsidian vault.

2. Data We Collect

Depending on how you interact with this project, we may collect different categories of data:

  • Waitlist Information (Website): If you use the “Notify Me” form, we collect your email address and submit it to Formspree (our form processing provider).
  • Self-Hosted Runtime Data (Your Deployment): If you deploy LazyLogger yourself, your bot may process Telegram messages (including text, links, and voice notes), AI-generated summaries/metadata, and vault sync data necessary to write notes to your Obsidian vault.
  • Operational Metadata: Minimal technical logs required to run and troubleshoot your deployment (for example, timestamps and error logs).

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To operate the website and process waitlist requests.
  • To run the self-hosted LazyLogger workflow you configure.
  • To deliver your Telegram inputs into your Obsidian vault through your configured tools/services.
  • To maintain service reliability, security, and troubleshooting.
  • To communicate product updates if you requested notifications.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We may share data with service providers strictly as needed for functionality:

  • Formspree: Processes email submissions from the website waitlist form.
  • Telegram: Delivers messages to your bot according to Telegram’s platform rules.
  • LLM / AI Providers You Configure: Your self-hosted deployment may send message content to the model provider you choose.
  • Obsidian Sync Tooling You Configure: Used to sync notes into your vault.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable safeguards to protect personal data. In self-hosted deployments, security also depends on how you configure and operate your infrastructure, credentials, and access controls.

6. Your Data Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, which may include:

  • The right to access your personal data.
  • The right to rectify inaccurate personal data.
  • The right to request the deletion of your personal data.
  • The right to restrict or object to the processing of your personal data.
  • The right to data portability.
  • The right to withdraw consent.

To exercise these rights, please contact us using the information provided below.

7. Data Storage and Retention

Retention depends on the data type:

  • Website waitlist emails are retained by us/Formspree until no longer needed for product notifications or until deletion is requested.
  • Self-hosted message and note data is retained according to your own infrastructure and tooling configuration.
  • Operational logs are retained only as long as necessary for security and troubleshooting.

Because LazyLogger is primarily self-hosted, you are generally the data controller for runtime content in your own deployment.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our service is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new privacy policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date.
